Orthopaedic and Clinical Massage
Clinical Massage sessions aim to
relieve or eliminate your symptoms by
treating only the areas responsible for your problem. This means
your entire session is allocated to relieving your symptoms without time wasted on irrelevant areas.
Our patients experience more immediate and longer lasting relief than previously achived through Physiotherapy or Chiropractic treatments.
Your experience at Rehab Massage will be unique and professional. To ensure symptoms area treated in the most effective way possible, your first session will include:
- Discussing your medical history including injuries or surgery
- Performing a range of muscle and range-of-motion tests
- Setting goals and discussing your expectations
Improvement is usually felt immediately after your first massage and many people feel
no pain at all following their first treatment. Where deeper pressure is required or where pain has been chronic for more than several weeks, it may take 24-48 hours before the full benefit is felt.
Conditions that benefit from Clinical Massage include:
- Back pain
- Whiplash injuries
- Nerve Compression
- Sciatic or hip pain
- Headaches and migraines
- Arthritis, tendinitis and bursitis
- Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
- Sacroiliac joint dysfunction
- Tingling in arms, legs or hands
- Jaw pain and tightness
Going through your history and performing a range of muscle tests usually takes about 10 minutes, while the remainder of your session is spent
restoring your body to ideal function.
Rehab Massage provides
professional and honest treatment recommendations and aims to
relieve symptoms quickly & effectively with minimal discomfort. Different massage techniques or modalities may be combined during a session to maximise the benefits of your treatment.
